mononoke hime, gaiman and swordfish musings
i have princess mononoke's theme by joe hisaishi stuck in my head.
it's a really lovely track.
papers had a quote by hayo miyazaki recently saying that he doesn't watch tv,keep track of recent happenings or something like that. maybe that's why his stories are timeless and in a way, unbiased/tinged by whatever's wrong happening in the world these days.
another thing. neil gaiman's in town. i haven't gotten my name down for any of the events or bought the tickets yet. phooey.
soon.
there's a inane craving for swordfish sashimi.
it must have been ages since i've had raw fish.
i've been promising myself to go for a dive soon for ages
and yet i'm still on dry land. sigh. yakkul should be out on the road by wednesday. i've been deprived of my heathier indulgences for too long and doing way too much drinking.
perhaps it's time to sit back minus alcohol and comtemplate things a lil.
